It’s time for another Mosher’s Memoirs and our latest story comes from Molly. Thank you for sharing, we’ll let you tell it in your own words.
“My names Molly, I was diagnosed all the way back during my gsces in school. I randomly went blind in my left eye and for months the hospital said it was due to stress from my exams until my mom contested it and I finally got sent for a scan.
Turns out I had a brain tumour called a Craniopharyngioma. A rare tumour that although is benign is classed as a brain cancer due to the severity of where it is and the damage it does.
I was sent for surgery at BCH 2 days later. For 15 years I have now been battling this tumour. (I am 30 in July so half my life!) It has returned multiple times, I’ve had brain surgery 5 times now, and I had a second radiotherapy 6 months ago which brings me all the way up to today. If this radiotherapy finally works then fantastic but if it doesn’t and I have regrowth we are now out of nhs options. And I’m not ready to stop yet!!!! This 5ft 2 pocket rocket is not going out without a fight
“
Molly, you’re kicking ass and we’re all here to support you!
Much love folks and mosh on!
